Abstrakty

W artykule przedstawiono matematyczny punkt widzenia na występowanie barier w rozprzestrzenainiu się informacji. Punktem wyjścia dla analizy barier w przekazywaniu komunikatów jest nie kanał, nadawca lub odbiorca przekazu, lecz sama informacja (tzw. zespół memów). W ujęciu tym człowiekowi przypisana jest rola przedmiotu oddziaływania memów.

The memetic conception postulates that on the way of dissemination of information there are obstacles which inhibit this process. These barriers constitute an integral part of mechanisms by which the cultural evolution is governed. As a result of their existence only some memes (e.g. information contained in messages in advertisements) through rivalry (competition) with others, they have a chance to overcome the barriers encountered. It will happen so if they are characterized by a high degree of adaptation to conditions which are found in the socio-cultural environment, which is called an ideosphere. As a result of evolution of culture subsequent barriers arose which protect the mind from an excessive number of memes replicated in ideosphere. Some of the most important ones are: the so called "cultural resistance system" and "memetic vaccine". And although these barriers block efficient transfer of a number of information, in the interpretation of memetics, they facilitate man's adaptation to the existing conditions. (original abstract)
