Abstrakty

W procesie globalizacji ekonomicznej, której przejawem jest tendencja do traktowania świata jako jednego wielkiego rynku, główną rolę odgrywają korporacje transnarodowe (KTN) oraz zagraniczne inwestycje bezpośrednie (BIZ) podejmowane przez nie. Autorka omawia znaczenie transnarodowych korporacji w gospodarce światowej, kładąc nacisk na zagraniczne inwestycje bezpośrednie i niekapitałowe formy zagranicznych inwestycji bezpośrednich.

In the process of economic globalisation, a symptom of which is the tendency to treat the world as one enormous market, a major role is being played by transnational corporations (TNC) and the foreign direct investments (FDI) made by them. They provide not only capital but also other modern production factors which are essential for economic development in the host countries. Due to the current importance of the above-mentioned phenomena, which since the beginning of the 1990s have embraced Central and East European countries, this article examines the essence of TNCs and their expansion on international markets. The author ascribes a particularly important role to share-holding and non-share-holding forms of direct investment undertaken by TNCs. (original abstract)
