Abstrakty

W artykule zaprezentowano oraz przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą czterech technik aukcyjnych: aukcja angielska, aukcja holenderska, aukcja pierwszej ceny i aukcja drugiej ceny (Vickreya). Zwrócono także uwagę na czynniki warunkujące wybór odpowiedniej techniki aukcyjnej.

this article is devoted to auction techniques, i.e., methods for determining prices at auctions. The author discusses: English auctions, Dutch auctions, first price auctions, and second price auctions - so-called Vickrev auctions. She then carries out a comparative analysis of these. In her discussion of bidding techniques, the author concentrates on their key features: the form of bidding, method of definition, buyers, the general principle for determining price levels, knowledge of the currently bid price, differences between bids, expectations with regard to the behaviour of other participants, basic determinants of the level of bids made. The aim of the article is to present auction techniques that are so far unknown in Poland and to show the various methods for determining prices. Practical use of the techniques described above may aid the development of the Polish auction market. (original abstract)
