Artykuł jest próbą podsumowania badania na temat aktywności samorządów gminnych w zakresie stosowania rozwiązań innowacyjnych dotyczących różnych aspektów zarządzania i planowania w kontekście zachodzących procesów unionizacji polskiej przestrzeni.
This article is an attempt to summarise the research on activity of communal local governments with regard to applying innovative solutions concerning different aspects of administering and planning in the context of unionisation processes of the Polish area. The author tries to answer the following questions: what are key fields of innovative activity of local governments and what proinnovative solutions help the communities to adapt to the new conditions related to the integration processes. A special importance is attached to the role of the local government in searching for new strategic solutions and taking advantage of the existing initiatives. (short original abstract)
