Abstrakty

W artykule omówiono pojęcie globalizacji oraz główne czynniki kształtujące proces globalizacji takie jak: postęp naukowo-techniczny i polityka ekonomiczna państwa. Zwrócono uwagę na zagrożenia dla społeczeństw, wynikające z procesu globalizacji. Przedstawiono formy międzynarodowych przepływów kapitału, ze szczególnym wskazaniem na inwestycje bezpośrednie. Przeanalizowano wpływ globalizacji działalności gospodarczej na szanse rozwojowe Polski, a zwłaszcza w zakresie napływu kapitału zagranicznego do Polski, w tym do sektora bankowego.

Term globalisation has been used in economic and political literature for describing certain political, economic and sociological processes and phenomena as well as those processes results. Following the economic path, globalisation is perceived as the most advanced form of international economic activity. It depicts intensification of any types of interrelations of subjects of international life, their impact on all aspects of social life; starting from markets and capitals internationalisation to end up with mass culture, migration, finances and peace guaranty. Scientific and technological progress which proceeds and stimulates globalisation, is of fundamental significance for economy systemic transformation. It exerts influence by implementing new, advanced technologies in infrastructure and production areas. Widely understood economic policy of a state is an important factor shaping globalisation. Globalisation does not foster levelling off the conditions of human life in a worldwide scale, but results in those conditions even more dramatic polarisation. One of the forms of globalisation is international capital flow, including direct investments. It is estimated that in the following years Polish economy should be supplied with direct foreign investments to the amount of, at least, USD 10-15 milliards annually. Of key importance for improving the influx of foreign investments to Poland is activiting the orientation of foreign capital inflow in such a way it provides modernisation of Polish economy and prevents its marginalisation within a new model of European relations.
