The subject of this article is one of the instruments of the money market - a short-term commercial paper issued in Poland by enterprises. The aim of the article is to characterize the market of short-term debt papers issued by enterprises in Poland in the years 1997-2000 against the back-ground of other securities of the money market. The second part of the article presents the size and dynamics of the market of commercial appears in Poland during the studied period. (original abstract)
