Abstrakty
W artykule omówiono problematykę związaną z biodegradowalnością wyrobów włókienniczych: naturalnych, sztucznych i syntetycznych oraz nowe sposoby wytwarzania polimerów biodegradowalnych.
Biodegradation is considered to be a safe and important method of waste management. It is a frequent subject matter of researches carried out all over the world. In the paper a review of the literature on biodegradability of textiles is presented. The mechanism and possibility of biodegradation of raw materials commonly used in the textile industry are shown, the factors conditioning that process are analyzed, and directions and results of research works, aiming at finding new biodegradable materials which could replace the presently used non-biodegradable materials, are discussed.
