Abstrakty

Nagrody w sferze jakości służą jej promocji w gospodarce. Powinny dostarczać wskazówek umożliwiających jej mierzenie oraz dokonanie oceny zadań których ramy wyznacza TQM. W opracowaniu omówiono istotę koncepcji TQM w różnych aspektach. Przedstawiono również kryteria oceny jakości stosowane w Japonii (Nagroda Deminga), Stanach Zjednoczonych (Krajowa nagroda im. Malcolma Baldrige'a) i Europie (Europejska Nagroda Jakości). Następnie autorka przedstawia założenia Polskiej Nagrody Jakości wraz z wynikami pierwszej edycji konkursu w 1995 roku oraz wybranymi informacjami o laureacie - Zakładzie ZELMER.

Motivation system in an important factor to be successful in undertaken works on the quality assurance system which is a fundamental tool for implementation of the TQM philosophy in a company. Motivation of employees is started from the moment they understand their tasks to fulfill and are aware of influence of such tasks upon actions taken in their company. Motivation plays an important role in the quality management system and in the complex management by means of quality. Quality prizes are one of many tools to promote the TQM concepts and they are implemented by an increasing number of companies worldwide. The prizes are to activate quality awareness of the managing personnel, to provide them with lines for quality determination and evaluation of tasks within the TQM framework. The paper has presented the essence of the motivation system, the TQM philosophy, as well as the framework of requirements and criteria of the existing quality prizes, including: E. Deming Prize, M. Baldrige National Prize, European Quality Prize, Polish Quality Prize. The results of the first competition for the Polish Quality Prize have also been presented. (original abstract)
