Abstrakty
W artykule omówiono region gospodarczy Azji Południowo-Wschodniej, podkreślając jego ogromną dynamikę wzrostu. Opisano stan rozwoju i polityczny punkt wyjścia rozbudowy tego obszaru. Uwagę skupiono na następujących krajach: Koreii Południowej, Hongkongu, Singapurze, Malezji, Tajlandii, Indonezji i Chińskiej Republice Ludowej.
The economy in South-East Asia develops at a great pace. The economic growth is in this region up to four times higher than in industrialized countries and in more developed liminal countries per capita income approaches the level of industrialized countries. First of all, the countries in question have joined in a great speed the process of international work share. Four tigers, liminal countries of the second generation, and China have increased their share in the world export from approx, four per cent in 1970 to nearly sixteen per cent (1993). In the meantime Hongkong has become the eighth greatest world exporter by volume. Low labour costs and currencies partially depreciated below their real value provided exporters from this economic zone with tail-wind. Beside that, a very mature export strategy has been applied, including also substantial subsidies. A stable macroeconomic framework, high investments, but first of all human capital and a crafty adaptation of foreign technologies have been other elements of the development policy.
