W artykule zaproponowano stosowanie wielowymiarowych statystycznych analiz porównawczych w ocenie procesu integracji europejskiej.

In the paper author proposes the use of the statistical multidimensional comparative analysis in the evaluations of the European integration processes. The basic problem is the concept of the synthetic distance measure of the development to compare the levels of the development in the European countries. The procedure of the construction of the synthetic distance measure requires: the definition of the variable character, the definition of the way in which the variables are standardized to make them comparable, the definition of the scale system for variables and the definition of the shape for the aggregate function.
