Artykuł podejmuje dyskusję na temat suwerenności państwa współczesnego wobec zjawisk ponadnarodowych. Przedstawia zasadę suwerenności w koncepcjach integracji europejskiej.
Sovereignty ( in the modern reading of the term), usually associated with the independence of states in international relations does not fit into the framework of contemporary political relations. The way it is formulated in absolutist terms, by emphasising "independence from all sorts of influence", seems to be at odds with contemporary processes of globalisation and integration. The national state ceases to be the independent subject of international relations in the sense that the state is submitted to independence. (short original abstract)
