Regions - in the case of Euroregio set up on the German-Dutch border are the contact points between European states, the places where different ways, customs, and administrative-cum-political structures meet. This is where integration is needed the most. The Euroregio serves as a model case for attempts at developing and maintaining cooperation across borders. (short original abstract)
