Abstrakty

W artykule przeprowadzono badania poziomu życia w opinii gospodarstw domowych województwa małopolskiego. Materiałem do analizy były badania ankietowe przeprowadzone w 1999 r. na reprezentatywnej przypadkowo dobranej próbie liczącej 1 tys. gospodarstw domowych.

The paper deals with the problem of subjective assessment of the living standard made by households in the Małopolska district. The analysis has been carried out on the basis of the results of questionnaire surveys made in September and October 1999 on a random sample of 1000 households. The results have made it possible to state that the major part of those surveyed assessed their living standard as average. Opinions on the living standard were very differentiated, dependin on the household type, level of education of its head and place of residence. To a much greater extent the positive opinions on the current living standard, changes in it in recent years in comparison with the period before transformation, as well as on the prospects for the future were expressed by households of entrepreneurs and qualified workers, those whose head had higher education and who lived in a town. The criteria used for the evaluation of the living standard were chiefly of the material character. (original abstract)
