W artykule przeprowadzono badania postaw młodzieży wobec dzietności na przykładzie województwa poznańskiego. Podjęto próbę identyfikacji systemu wartości młodzieży ze względu na perspektywy przyszłej rozrodczości społeczeństwa polskiego.

The article contains some chosen effects of the identification of procreation attitudes pattern of the young people from the province of Poznań at the critical time of observation 31 December 1995. The pattern showed the attitude to procreation, expressing young people's willingness (or not) to have a baby, the number of children planned and the attitude to having children under specific conditions. The results of research confirm that young people of the end of the 20-th century have a positive attitude towards procreation. Despite a certain erosion of the system of values, the young people included in the research represented a traditional system of family values. Among values which give sense to human life, a child and a happy family are still highly appreciated. Preferences of the young people were dominated by a model of family with two children. Simultaneously, the young people are aware of the threats which may not allow them to pursue their plans as regards their future families. According to the young people, difficult material and housing conditions and situation on the labour market reflecting the socio-economic situation of the whole country are the factors which can hinder procreative functions of a family and cause non-traditional behaviours. This, in consequence, may make the process of depopulation of the Polish society even more severe. (original abstract)
