Przedstawiono rodzaje ryzyka w rolnictwie. Zaprezentowano wahania poziomu wydajności produkcji oraz cen rolnych w Unii Europejskiej. Szczegółowo omówiono narzędzia zarządzania ryzykiem w gospodarstwach rolnych.

The paper provides an overview of the different types of risk that agriculture faces and an evidence of risk exposure in European agriculture. The Eurostat and FADN data was used to show the risk exposure in the EU as measured by price and yield variability. The main tools available to manage agricultural risk were examined. Additionaly, the reasons and objectives of government intervention as well as the policy instrument Member States use to help their farmers in dealing with risk exposure were discussed.
