Abstrakty

Artykuł ten prezentuje, w jaki sposób ontologie mogą usprawnić wyszukiwanie informacji zewnętrznych niezbędnych w procesie podejmowania decyzji. Najpierw zaprezentowany jest ogólny problem zasilania przedsiębiorstwa informacjami zewnętrznymi. W następnej części zdefiniowane są ontologie oraz bliżej omówione jej poszczególne odmiany domenowe. W części końcowej zaprezentowane jest zastosowanie ontologii w wyszukiwaniu informacji poprzez uwzględnienie semantycznych, czasowych i przestrzennych aspektów informacji. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The paper presents how ontologies can improve retrieval and filtering of information that is crucial for proper decision making. First, we state the problem of supplying the enterprise with external information. Then we define what ontology is and following that we discuss different domain ontologies. The last part of the paper presents a particular application of the ontologies in order to improve the information retrieval by taking into account semantic, time and spatial information extracted from the documents.
