Abstrakty

W terminologii odnoszącej się sfery integracji walutowej panuje nieład i brak powszechnie uznanych definicji poszczególnych terminów. W opracowaniu przeanalizowano różnice w terminologii używanej przez autorów prac dotyczących integracji monetarnej, w szczególności dotyczącej gospodarki europejskiej i unii monetarnej.

When analysing economic issues it is essential that concepts are precisely defined. Research findings can then be correctly interpreted by other economists and act as a platform for economic policy proposals. Unfortunately the literature concerning monetary union is muddled and there is a lack of universally recognised definitions for particular terminology. The present paper sets out to analyse the variations in terminology as they appear in work concerning monetary union, and is particularly concerned with the implementation of European Economic and Monetary Union.
