The market of government securities is one of the segments of the market of money capital. It is frequently characterized as a basic market for the remaining segments, particularly commercial and municipal instruments. The author presents an object and a subject characteristics of the structure of the market of government debt instruments, conducting a multi-criteria detailed analysis. Its aim was to identify the principles of functioning of the discussed market and to provide the basis for further research into demand-supply and price factors being shaped in a certain place at a certain time.
