Statistical Methods for Constructing an Aggregate Measure of Quality in Product Strategy
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Autor poruszył zagadnienia pomiaru wartości użytkowej i jakości produktu. O ile wartość użytkowa może być cechą bezpośrednio mierzalną, o tyle jakość jest cechą, która nie jest mierzalna w prosty sposób. Do jej określenia służą syntetyczne mierniki jakości.
Product quality is not a feature that can be measured directly. It represents an aggregate of specific and utilisable features. Using multi-dimensional comparative analysis - a branch of taxonomy - as his basis, the author has devised a method for creating composite aggregate features which define product quality. In this article, the author offers a procedure for constructing such composite features. This procedures requires solving such methodological problems as: the choice of diagnostic features describing product quality; the choice of a formula for standardising features; the problem of how to evaluate the importance of different features; and the problem of adopting an appropriate aggregation formula. The author describes these problems in a formalised statistical framework. (original abstract)
