Wyjaśniono pojęcie i klasyfikację nadzorczych regulacji ostrożnościowych. Omówiono regulacje nadzorcze związane z tworzeniem SKOK-ów i banków. Przedstawiono nadzorcze regulacje ostrożnościowe związane z działalnością operacyjną SKOK-ów i banków.

At the Polish financial market banking services are offered by both banks and para-banks, an example of the latter are savings and credit co-operative societies. Both banks and savings and credit co-operative societies are prone to the risks incurred by performing activities at the financial market. The objective of the hereby article is the comparison of the supervising, i.e. external prudential standards of both banks and savings and credit co-operative societies. The comparison was conducted considering the subject matter of these regulations' classification and by attributing specific standards to the particular work stages of these financial units. The researched institutions were compared as far as the scope of their supervising, prudential regulations are concerned, regarding the opening of banks and savings and credit co-operative societies, their operational activity and compensating risk results incurred by them.
