The Outlook for the Polish Real Estate Market

Autor prognozuje stan gospodarki w Polsce, oraz sytuację na rynku nieruchomości do roku 2010. Na tym tle prezentuje analizę SWOT (siła, słabości, możliwości , zagrożenia) dla polskiego rynku nieruchomości w okresie od 2004 do 2010 roku.
As there is an almost complete lack of forecasts for the real estate market, this article forecasts Poland's economic situation, and the property situation, up to 2010. Against this background the paper presents a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis of the Polish real estate market for the periods to 2004 and 2010. The turnover volume is estimated at 540,000, i.e., around twenty transactions per 1000 inhabitants against the present turnover volume of 407,000 and fifteen transactions per 1000 inhabitants. There will be a quantitative change in the way the market is serviced. There will be many more rental administrators and letting agencies, while the number of estate agents will decrease. The new profession of real estate advisor will appear. The powiats and, perhaps, yet to be established sub-regions, will be added to the spatial units influencing real estate turnover.
