Abstrakty

W okresie powojennym nastąpił szybki postęp zarówno w zakresie teorii rozwoju gospodarki światowej jak i ekonomii rozwoju (development economics), której początki datuje się na koniec lat czterdziestych. Ekonomia rozwoju była w istocie teorią polityki polityki gospodarczej krajów rozwijających się, wchodzącą głębiej w analizę uwarunkowań rozwoju tych krajów. Autor przedstawia ewolucję ekonomii rozwoju w kolejnych dekadach XX wieku - jej kryzys w latach 80., zwycięstwo neoliberałów oraz zagadnienia związane z pojawieniem się globalizacji i skuteczności konsensusu waszyngtońskiego.

After the worldwar two there took place a rapid progress of the world economy theory as well as of the development economics, which came into being in the late 40's. Development economics included different currents like: structuralists, dependency school, neoinstitutionalists. In the mid 1980 development economics passed through a serious crisis and moved on side of economic liberalism. In the years 1990the co called Washington consensus (deregulation, liberalisation, privatisation) became very popular and widely accepted. Unfortunately, neither state interventionism nor liberal model have proved correct in the conditions of developing countries. Today, the development economics in the era of globalisation are still in deep crisis. Globalisation brings completly new challanges - in order to overcome underdevelopment the simple industrialisation is not enough. There is a question whether the very existence of development economics still makes sense. Maybe it's a high time to pass from this discipline to the general theory of the world economy development.
