Abstrakty

Kategorii kosztów transakcyjnych w ekonomii poświęca się coraz więcej miejsca. Im sprawniejszy jest przebieg procesu gospodarczego, tzn. im mniejsze są tarcia hamujące ten proces - tym niższe są koszty transakcyjne. Minimalizować koszty transakcyjne może sprawny system instytucji. Tłumaczy to rolę, jaką od niecałych trzech dekad odgrywa ekonomia neoinstytucjonalna, wyrosła z liczącej ponad sto lat ekonomii instytucjonalnej. Przedmiotem ekonomii neoinstytucjonalnej jest analiza instytucjonalnego otoczenia gospodarki i instytucjonalnych powiązań wewnątrz gospodarki. Niemożność wejścia polskiej gospodarki na szybszą ścieżkę wzrostu bierze się głównie z niedoskonałości instytucji, które nie są w stanie zapobiec nadmiernym tarciom, a więc nadmiernym kosztom transakcyjnym.

The issue of transaction costs is gaining an increasing attention in economic thinking. The more efficient are the economic processes, that is the lesser are the frictions that slow down these processes, the lower are transaction costs. Streamlined institutional system can greatly contribute to the minimization of transaction costs. That observation explains the role being played, since nearly three decades, by the neoinstitutional economics which itself is an outgrowth of more than hundred years old institutional economics. Economic analysis of: institutions that surround an economy, institutional links that are present inside this economy constitutes the subject of neoinstitional economics.The fact that economy of Poland can not enter the faster path of growth is mainly attributable to imperfections of institutions. These institutions are unable to prevent excessive frictions, that is the excessively high transactional costs.
