Gwałtowny rozwój handlu przez Internet stworzył nowe możliwości, zarówno kupującym, jak i sprzedającym. Pierwszym - dał możliwość wygodnego i nieograniczonego dokonywania zakupów, drugim - możliwość zdobycia ogromnej ilości informacji o klientach oraz, co istotne, optymalizacji procesów organizacyjnych w przedsiębiorstwie, w szczególności procesów związanych z dystrybucją produktów. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowane zostały wyniki wdrożenia opartego o Internet systemu dystrybucji w jednej z wiodących łódzkich firm komputerowych.
In recent years a dynamic development of Internet based commerce created new opportunities for both the buyers and the sellers. E-commerce provided clients with comfortable and unlimited worldwide purchasing. It also gave the sellers the possibility for obtaining a large quantity of information about their clients and it supported the companies in the improvement of organization processes, especially in the field of distribution.In this article the results of the Internet based distribution system implementation in the leading Lodz IT company were presented. Until recently, paradoxically, the application of the Internet technologies for sales in this sector, which is dominated by small and medium sized companies, was minimal. Only the pressure from suppliers and increasing requirements from clients forced the sector participants to adapt their sales systems to the world IT leaders' standards. (original abstarct)
