Abstrakty

Artykuł zawiera przedstawienie różnych koncepcji z zakresu tradycyjnej i nowej teorii handlu międzynarodowego. Prezentacja ta ma na celu ocenę przydatności tych koncepcji do wyjaśnienia handlu realizowanego przez przedsiębiorstwa międzynarodowe oraz dla opisu wpływu tych przedsiębiorstw na kształtowanie się cech i tendencji rozwojowych współczesnej międzynarodowej wymiany handlowej.

Expansion of enterprises which internationalise their production (understood as a growing number and size of those enterprises) has far reaching implications for the volume, value, directions, product pattern and character of the international trade. Trade exchange today is concentrated in the branches and places where multinational companies operate. A larger and larger part of this exchange takes place between entities interdependent as regards capital and remaining under the same management. The article presents various concepts from the field of traditional and new trade theory in order to assess: 1) Their usefulness for the explanation of international trade flows with the participation of multinational enterprises and 2) to describe how those enterprises influence features and tendencies of development of the world's trade exchange.
