Abstrakty

Przedstawiono etapy integracji Polski z UGW i zmiany w zakresie polityki pieniężnej NBP. Są to kolejno: faza przedczłonkowska, faza członkostwa w Unii Europejskiej i faza członkostwa w UGW. Omówiono strategie polityki pieniężnej w Polsce.

One of Poland's most important goals is economic integration with the European Union and later with the Economic and Monetary Union. Thanks to that integration, Poland will gain healthy and stable economy with low inflation, low interest rates, balanced budged, and reasonable fiscal debt. At the beginning of 2003 National Bank of Poland will publish new medium-term monetary policy strategy, 2004-2006. The main aspects of the (possible) new strategy, presented in this paper, are related with many dilemmas. They concern mainly moments in which the changes are to be implemented, and the length of periods, in which some solutions will function. The other challenge for monetary authorities of our country is lo pass to next stages of economic integration without serious economic and financial disturbances. (original abstract)
