Abstrakty

Zamieszczono charakterystykę przemysłu ekoturystycznego. Omówiono znaczenie ekoturystyki dla środowiska i ekonomicznego rozwoju. Przedstawiono możliwości ekonomicznego rozwoju subregionu "Ddolina Strugu".

In the past few decades tourism became one of the more important economic powers in the world. Ecotourism became an alternative for mass tourism, which to a high degree damages the cultural and natural diversity of the regions. It may on one hand become a potential economic instrument of rural areas development and the support for local communities, while on the other it may protect the natural environment from the results of its over intensive exploitation. The study points to an economical aspect of this, relatively new, form of tourism. There has been presented "the Strug Valley" subregion in Podkarpackie Province, which takes pride in its natural environment and beautiful landscapes, and at the same time presents a relatively high unemployment rate. In this region ecotourism may become a solution to the problem. (original abstract)
