Artykuł jest wynikiem badań przeprowadzonych we Wrocławiu, jednym z najczęściej odwiedzanych przez turystów dużych miast Polski. Zawiera spostrzeżenia wynikające z badania oferty i usług świadczonych przez zakłady gastronomiczne.

The paper presents the results of research analysing the offer and services of catering businesses located in city areas rich in tourist value which attract numerous visitors. The analysis encompasses the offer of 167 catering premises including 89 restaurants with 37 hotel restaurants, 27 cafes, tea and coffee houses and 51 others. The paper also presents the analysis of opinions of 1744 domestic and 757 international tourists concerning the scope, quality and prices of catering services in Wrocław. The market behaviour of Polish restaurant and hotel owners in the conditions of aggressive competition from world-wide networks have also been described here. (original abstract)
