Abstrakty

Scharakteryzowano sieć drogową województwa podkarpackiego(stan na 12.12.1999 r.), europejskie korytarze transportowe przebiegające przez teren województwa, sieć kolejową, lotniska oraz przejścia graniczne. Przedstawiono także wyniki analizy SWOT infrastruktury transportowej województwa podkarpackiego, jej mocne i słabe strony oraz szanse i zagrożenia.

As the results of the experiments of many authors and experience of other countries and regions reveal that the existence of the proper communication base which enables quick and suitable access to each part of the region is the essential factor of the proper tourism development. Similarly, in the Podkarpacki (Under Carpathian) Province, in which the development strategy is one of the basic strategic aims for the nearest future (nearest years), the development of communication base is essential beside the attractive tourist virtues, places for spending night and getting food, etc. The accessible range of communication is created by the density of roads, system of nets and their technical state. In that article the mentioned factors have been described in the connection with the nets of roads, railways, air transport, and road and railway checkpoints. The analysis of the accessible range of communication in Podkarpacki (Under Carpathian) Province has revealed many malfunctions, specially concerning the technical state of road and railway net, its capacity, development of communication routes, number and equipment of checkpoints.The conclusions have enabled to express the week and strong points of the communication infrastructure of the Podkarpacki (Under Carpathian) Province as well as the chances and dangers.
