Abstrakty

Przedstawiono bariery rozwoju zrównoważonego na szczeblu regionalnym wynikające ze specyfiki poszczególnych regionów, omówiono oddziaływanie transportu na środowisko oraz korzyści płynące z ekologizacji transportu województwa śląskiego.

In that study the importance of the proper creation of the transport system for putting into practice the balanced development is considered on the basis of the Silesian Province. That problem is presented in the aspect of transport participation in generation of the destruction costs through varied forms of the negative influence on the natural environment. The importance of the internalisation of the external costs has been emphasised as well as the necessity of the preventive actions the result of which is the postulated ecologisation of transport has been emphasised. The significance of development of the collective transport for the improvement of life quality of the inhabitants in the urban developed areas has been pointed. Simultaneously, the attention has been paid to the significance of the transport for the maximization of the net profit from the economic region development which together with the simultaneous restitution and environmental protection is an essential feature of the balanced development. In that aspect the special role of the logistic system for securing the proper competitiveness of region has been stressed. It' s generally acknowledged that while defining the conditions of the strategy of the balanced development it is necessary to suggest the acceleration of the transport balancing as an element of the infrastructure of the social and economic system.
