Abstrakty

Zasadniczym celem przeprowadzonych przez autorkę badań, było określenie stopnia aktywności ekonomicznej studentów dziennych Wydziału Gospodarki Regionalnej i Turystyki w Jeleniej Górze, czyli zbadanie motywów, dla których podejmują pracę. Autorka dążyła do odpowiedzi na pytanie, jak ankietowani postrzegają swoją rolę i możliwości na rynku pracy.

The degree of economic activity of diurnal studies students at the Faculty of Regional Economy and Tourism in Jelenia Góra was verified on the basis of poll survey in 2003. The age of the respondents ranges from 19 to 25 years old. Most of the examined respondents live in towns (76,7%), mainly in Lower Silesia province (88,8%). 61,3% have general secondary education, the rest (38,7%) have graduated high schools, technical colleges and other vocational schools, mainly of economic profile. In most cases those students are depended financially on their parents or other relatives (94,9%). The students of the Academy of Economics are studying mainly to increase their qualifications and to be more competitive at the employment market (only 18% of the respondents work during the studies). Only 8% of the students work at the posts connected with the specialty chosen at the Academy. The students think that the current employment market situation doesn't give the chances to be employed at the local government units without special qualifications or acquaintances.
