The Issue of Executive Pay in Connection with Innovation

Artykuł omawia rolę jaką odgrywa płacowe motywowanie menedżerów w procesie podnoszenia innowacyjności organizacji, które działają obecnie w niezwykle burzliwym i turbulentnym otoczeniu oraz na konkurencyjnym rynku. Dlatego też menedżer jako osoba zarządzająca organizacją powinien być motywowany za pomocą odpowiedniego bodźca (w tym przypadku finansowego) w celu zapewnienia właściwej realizacji działań związanych z innowacyjnością.
The aim of this article is to present the selected methodological issues related to the examined co-relation "compensation - innovation of the organization". The basic thematic lines include as follows: requirements to develop innovation capabilities; the reward policies as a factor which reinforce employee behaviours to effect risk taking and innovation. The article underlines the deficiency in the definitions of compensation with relation to organizational innovation. Considering the above, the author strived to formulate guidelines for further discussion in this area.(original abstract)
