Abstrakty
W publikacji podjęto problem właściwego odwzorowania w bazie danych zmienności świata. Przedstawiono podstawowe problemy związane z wykorzystaniem technologii temporalnych baz danych, pojęcia związane z czasem oraz temporalne modele konceptualne. Omówiono sposoby reprezentacji czasu i zapisu zmian w bazach danych oraz zagadnienia związane z zarządzaniem bazą danych przechowującą dane temporalne. Zaprezentowano także projekt konkretnego systemu przy zastosowaniu modelu TEMPORA.

The paper addresses the issue of adequate mapping of the world’s versatility into a database. Basic problems concerning the use of temporal database technologies, time-related terms and temporal conceptual models were discussed. Time representation methods and the ways of recording changes in the databases together with dilemmas of managing a database that stores temporal data were described in detail. A specific system was designed with the use of the TEMPORA model. (JW)
