W artykule omówiono badania preferencji konsumenckich cech miodów w oparciu o współczynnik konkordancji Andersona.

R.L. Anderson, by putting the results of the preference research in a contingency table has made it possible to see the structure of the results. Although the differences between the assessed objects can be, according to the ISO 8587 test, statistically insignificant, the rank distribution analysis can show a real difference between the compared adjacent objects. Such a situation can occur because significantly different rank distribution can give statistically insignificant differences in group sums of ranks on which the ISO test is based. Anderson's x²_A statistics makes it possible to learn if there is any difference and whether it is a significant difference, and - by calculating the Anderson r_A concordance coefficient - what the concordance of the assessors is like. Due to that the data obtained for the ISO 8587 test can be corrected to give the real consumers' preferences. (original abstract)
