Handling Recursive Queries within RDBMS with Jelly View Technology. Some Experimental Results with the ReDaReS System

There are some limitations of information processing within contemporary Relational SQL. Especially two categories are difficult to solve and they include traversal of structurally complex data structures such as graphs, trees, terms, lists etc. and searching for Admissible Solutions under specified constraints problems such as finding specific subsets of given set, generation of structural solutions satisfying specific constraints etc. The article presents some problems related to the ReDaReS system with the Jelly View technology implemented.

Możliwości przetwarzania relacyjnych baz danych są ograniczone. Szczególnie dwie kategorie są trudne do rozwiązania: przechodzenie po złożonych strukturach danych (takich jak wykresy, schematy, zestawienia itd.) oraz poszukiwanie dopuszczalnych rozwiązań zgodnie z określonymi ograniczeniami (znajdowanie specyficznych podzbiorów danego zbioru, generowanie rozwiązań spełniających określone ograniczenia itd.). W artykule przedstawiono problemy wydajnościowe dotyczące systemu ReDaReS, do którego wprowadzono technologię Jelly View stanowiącą nowy, praktyczny sposób dekompozycji, przechowywania i wyszukiwania wiedzy w obrębie SZRBD.
