Autorka opisuje politykę regionalną Unii Europejskiej ze szczególnym naciskiem na kwestię polityki wschodniej po rozszerzeniu w 2004 roku. Autorka analizuje koncepcję polityki regionalnej oraz rolę Unii w kształtowaniu się polityki światowej.

This article concerns the EU's activity in shaping the area of stabilization, cooperation and development in the regions, particularly taking into account the Eastern orientation of its policy after the enlargement on the 1st of May, 2004. Its focus is mainly on the conditions and results of this activity. The author first analyses the concept of regional governance and later illustrates it by reference to the EU us an international actor, to European Neighbourhood Policy and to the 'Eastern dimension'.
