Abstrakty

Przedstawiono zagadnienie instytucjonalizacji stosunków transatlantyckich w trzech okresach: w dobie zimnej wojny, po zimnej wojnie i u progu XXI wieku. Stwierdzono, iż wzajemne wsparcie w ramach wspólnoty państw demokratycznych, posiadających wspólne korzenie kulturowo-cywilizacyjne, stanowi istotę zinstytucjonalizowanej współpracy transatlantyckiej. Jest fundamentem na którym oparte jest amerykańsko-europejskie partnerstwo, wspólnota transatlantycka.

The dynamic development of contemporary international relations induces JL reflections on a new type of relations among states, based on common values, interests, needs and goals. These bonds are evident in the deepening processes of internationalisation, institutionalisation and international interdependencies, characteristic for given groups of countries and for international community as a whole. One of the mentioned groups consists of states which belong to the Trans-Atlantic community. The article tackles the issue of institutionalisation of the relations among these countries, presenting various aspects of the considerable transformation of Trans-Atlantic relations that has taken place in the past decades. Author emphasizes the influence of interconnections between North America and Europe on other subjects of international relations. According to him, these interconnections are one of the decisive factors shaping the international relations in the 21st century. (original abstract)
