W opracowaniu zaprezentowano koncepcje dotyczące postępu technicznego wywodzące się z nurtu neoklasycznego i keynsistowskiego a także istniejące poza głównym nurtem ekonomii.

This article presents the most popular economic approach to the issue of technical progress. In part one, the author defines technical progress concepts such as invention, innovation, production techniques, technology, technical change, technological change, and highlights the differences among them. In the following part, the author discusses the determinants governing the creation of new inventions. In the third part, the author presents labour-saving, capital-saving and neutral technical progress in various aspects. Part four presents Kaldor's technical progress function. (original abstract)
