Abstrakty

W ciągu niespełna dwóch dekad Hiszpania stała się jednym z krajów Unii Europejskiej o największym rocznym napływie cudzoziemców. Tak intensywny napływ siły roboczej doprowadził do głębokich przeobrażeń struktury ekonomicznej tego kraju. Imigranci bowiem to wytwórcy dóbr i usług, konsumenci, płatnicy podatków i składek socjalnych, a także odbiorcy świadczeń. Imigracja wpływa więc na tempo rozwoju gospodarczego i kształtuje strukturę zatrudnienia. W artykule omówiono główne cechy napływu imigranckiej siły roboczej na hiszpański rynek pracy. Zbiorowość tą charakteryzuje młoda struktura demograficzna, wysoki wskaźnik aktywności zawodowej oraz duży odsetek osób przebywających i pracujących nielegalnie. Ważną cechą też jest koncentracja imigrantów w kilku zaledwie sektorach gospodarki hiszpańskiej.

The paper analyses the issues raised by Spanish immigration from a labour market perspective. Several characteristics of economic migration to Spain are discussed. We observe that foreign population in Spain is demographically young, professionally active and characterised by high proportion of unauthorised migrants. Other important feature of immigration phenomena in Spain we highlight is a concentration of migrant workers in very few sectors of labour market which is due to the segmentation of labour market as well as social and demographic changes in last decades. In the last part of the article we discuss increasing phenomenon of ethnic entrepreneurship in Spain. (original abstract)
