Omówiono zagadnienie produkcji buraków cukrowych w Polsce oraz dokonano analizy wybranych wyników produkcyjnych cukrowni w latach 2000-2003.

Over the recent years it has undergone dynamic changes. The process of concentration of sugar beet activation in regions and farms occurs, which makes the farms to specialise m this field. Apart from that, the concentration of the sugar industry is following owing to the fact that, the number of acting sugar plants is decreasing and what is more, their processing power is increasing. In addition, the sugar plants are currently undergoing process of modernisation, which leads to reducing, both losses in the processing and. the energy consuming as well. (original abstract)
