Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest określenie siły zależności między stopniem konkurencyjności, stopniem wolności gospodarczej a oceną realizacji kryteriów strategii lizbońskiej w państwach Unii Europejskiej oraz uzasadnienie powiązań między nimi.

The aim of the paper is to determine the degree of the relation of to three variables: competitiveness, economic freedom and the appraisal of the Lisbon Strategy criteria's realisation and the finding the rationales for the relations to these variables. Therefore, the paper presents competitiveness indexes of the international rankings (World Economic Forum: GCI, BCI and IMD), the Economic Freedom Index (EFI) and the Lisbon Strategy Index. The structure of these indexes might be the explanation of concept's meanings of the competitiveness, economic freedom and the Lisbon Strategy. According to these indexes, we indicate the countries' ranks of the European Union. Then, we calculate the Spearman's correlation for the three variables: competitiveness, economic freedom and the appraisal of the Lisbon Strategy criteria's realisation. On the basis of the correlation's results the strong relation of these three variables can be indicated. We show the rational explanation of this relation. (original abstract)
