Abstrakty

Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań ankietowych zaprezentowano w artykule charakterystykę sektora wód mineralnych w Polsce. Wybraną populację przełomu 2002/2003 stanowiło 120 producentów wód mineralnych. W pracy omówiono rodzaje opakowań i środki promocji stosowane przez producentów wód mineralnych. Przedstawiono również zasięg terytorialny wód w opakowaniach jednostkowych i głównych odbiorców tego produktu.

In this article, the author presents the results of original research conducted using surveys of and interviews with mineral water producers. In analysing the obtained data. the author first presents the structure of the researched enterprises with a focus on such attributes as: sales volume, legal status, years of operation, number of employees and number of branches. Due to the fact that many mineral water producers also offer other goods, the author presents the share of mineral water in the total production of the examined firms. Next, the author reviews the assortment structure of examined firms and reviews the types of packaging they use. The author draws attention to the impact of company size on the frequency of use of promotional resources and marketing research. The author also describes the companies from the perspective of their distribution activities by defining their service area domestically and abroad and by reviewing their main customers.
