Abstrakty

Autor prezentuje przyszłość Unii Europejskiej w koncepcji roli polityków: Lecha Kaczyńskiego, Jarosława Kaczyńskiego, Kazimierza Marcinkiewicza oraz Stefana Mellera. Przedstawiono ponadto polskie koncepcje roli w kontekście Unii Europejskiej. W zakończeniu opisano koncepcje roli dotyczące polityki europejskiej według liderów nowej koalicji Andrzeja Leppera i Romana Giertycha.

This paper debates the most likely concepts of European Union policy to be adopted by the Polish government. It describes and compares crucial values, strategies and objectives of the leading actors on the Polish political scene, as well as their position on the debate on the future of the EU. Concepts put forward by Polish politicians are analyzed in relation to the attitudes of other member states, the European Parliament and European Commission. The author reaches the conclusion that the attitudes embraced by PiS (Law and Justice) when it still formed a minority government were heterogeneous. By forming a coalition with Samoobrona (Self-defense) and Liga Polskich Rodzin (The League of Polish Families) and due to the resignation of the Foreign Minister, Stefan Meiler, Poland's internal position on European policy became more homogenous, thereby increasing its distance form the remaining member states. Thus, two outcomes seem equally likely: Poland's isolation in the European Union and the break-up of the government coalition in Poland.(original abstract)
