Masa krytyczna, termin znany z fizyki, w odniesieniu do przedsiębiorstw oznacza warunki, których spełnienie upoważnia korporację do tego, aby mogła ona zaliczyć się do grona firm klasy światowej i konkurować pomiędzy równymi jej podmiotami. W artykule opisano pięć warunków masy krytycznej: produkt i technologia produkcji jako rutyna; jakość jako niewymuszony standard; motywacja jako szansa na rozwój ludzi organizacji; dostęp do zasobów kapitałowych jako opcja zawsze dostępna oraz profesjonalizm zarządu jako mistrzostwo procesu komunikacji.
