Logistic trends of the supply chains in the food industry

The subjects of the two projects introduced in the paper are the same: the predictable restructuring of the food and beverage sector from a logistic aspect. The goal of the first research (SULOGTRA) was to determine the main characteristics of the European (former EU15) countries' logistic processes in the food and beverage sector. The other (Hungarian) research wanted to determine only the national characteristics of the sector, and to compare it to the SULOGTRA results. If the participants of the Emerging Markets are aware of the predictable logistic trends (named by the developed countries experts), they can react in time with their organisational behaviour to the new challenges. It is also interesting to examine, what are the differencies between the two regional aspects, and what should be developed in the new EU member states' food and beverage sector companies to remain viable in the increased market competition.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań uzyskane w dw6ch projektach dotyczących kierunk6w restrukturyzacji branży spożywczej z punktu widzenia logistyki. Celem pierwszego projektu SULOGTRA, zrealizowanego w krajach dawnej piętnastki krajów ,,starej" Unii, było ustalenie kierunków przyszłego rozwoju logistyki w branży spożywczej. Z kolei badania przeprowadzone na Węgrzech miały na celu zidentyfikowanie cech krajowych systemów logistycznych, a następnie ich porównanie z cechami takich systemów logistycznych w krajach UE. Znajomość kierunków rozwoju systemów logistycznych umożliwi uczestnikom rynków rozwijających się z krajów nowych cz!onk6w UE podejmowanie racjonalnych decyzji, ułatwi integrację z europejskimi systemami logistycznymi, oraz właściwe reagowanie na pojawiające się wyzwania. Interesujące są również różnice poglądów w tej dziedzinie między starymi i nowymi krajami UE.
