Abstrakty

Zadaniem opracowania jest zbadanie regionalnego zróżnicowania rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego mierzonego za pomocą wielkości produktu krajowego brutto. Przeprowadzono również ocenę zróżnicowania negatywnego wpływu działalności gospodarczej na jakość środowiska przyrodniczego w poszczególnych województwach Polski.

In this article, the author analyses the regional differentiation of socio-economic development (measured using GDP) and differentiation in the negative impact of economic activities on the quality of the natural environment (measured using dust, gas and wastewater emission levels) in individual voivodships in 1995-2003. The differentiation among voivodships is greater in terms of the negative impact of business activities on the quality of the natural environment than in terms of the GDP per capita. A favourable situation arises when the average annual growth rate of the GDP is positive and the emissions of air pollutants are falling in individual regions. Only in a few voivodships is the average annual rate of gas emissions and sewage discharge positive. (original abstract)
