Agriculture still plays a very significant - but a decreasing - role in the economies of the countries joining the European Union on 1 May 2004, both on a national and an international level. After the EU accession the role and the significance of agriculture will change not only in the newly joining countries but in the old Member States as well. This research focuses on investigating the extended agricultural market in terms of production, sales and trade. While dealing with the investigation of agricultural production this paper puts special emphasis on the current situation of organic farming - both in the current and the accessing Member States - attempting to find out whether organic farming can be a breakout point for the accessing countries. Opracowanie poświęcono badaniom zmian w rolnictwie - produkcji oraz handlu. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono rolnictwu organicznemu i jego zmianom w rozwoju rolnictwa jako całości. (skróc. oryg. streszcz.)
