Abstrakty

Celem opracowania jest analiza jednego z aspektów kształtowania się struktur, jakim jest stopień ich dywersyfikacji. Przyjmuje się, ze optymalna dla rozwoju gospodarczego struktura jest w dużym stopniu zdywersyfikowana.

Two main tendencies of restructuring process are observed. The first one is concentration of structure influenced by development of services. The second is diversification of industry and services structures as well as other sectors of economy. Structural changes in the economy are very important especially in integrated economic systems. Inadequate structure in one country can negatively influence an economy of the other areas. Two above mention tendencies were observed in employment structure of the European Union countries and in the group both well developed and underdeveloped regions in 1975-2001. The process of concentration of employment structure, consisting of five elements (main sectors of economy) appeared to be quite visible. However the diversification of the employment structure of industry and services was not so clear. The main reason can be specific aspects of the European Single Market, competitiveness of countries and regions or (and) the growth and development of the sectors of economy without changes of employment.
