W opracowaniu przedstawiono produkcję oraz spożycie owoców i warzyw w Polsce. W analizowanych latach nastąpił wzrost produkcji i spożycia owoców i warzyw, przy czym wzrost produkcji i spożycia owoców był większy. (oryg. streszcz.)

This paper presents the level and structure production and consumption of fruits and vegetables in Poland. In the period of 1950-2004, pomicultura! production expanded in volume more than 13 times, whereas the horticultural production level increase 2.8 times. Apples constitute the main item of global fruit crops and their share accounts for 83%. In the case of vegetables, the biggest shares of their total harvests were noted for cabbage (27,8%), carrot (18,9%) and onion (17,6%). The study shows that between 1970-2004 the consumption of fruits increased by 66% and vegetables by 13% correspondingly. It was observed that consumption of juices and drinks rose the fastest (i.e. eight-fold). (original abstract)
