Abstrakty

Celem artykułu była analiza i ocena sytuacji finansowej czołowego przedsiębiorstwa w branży drobiarskiej firmy "Indykpol" S.A. z siedzibą w Olsztynie. W opracowaniu przedstawiono, jakie dziania organizacyjne i kapitałowe firma poczyniła, żeby zapewnić swój wzrost i rozwój w przyszłości, a zwłaszcza po przystąpieniu Polski do Unii Europejskiej.

The increasing consumption of poultry meat and its products results from consumers' conviction of its high dietetic and technological values. Additionally, the crisis on the beef market related to BSE has increased the demand for poultry products. Since 2000, the financial situation of poultry plants has been improving. The analysed company - "Indykpol" S.A. has taken up an array of activities to ensure its growth and development. The development strategy and the policy of growth in productivity, achieved through cutting operational costs in the company, have produced positive effects. The results of the analysis of the financial situation between 2000-2002 in the subject company indicate that in spite of the disadvantageous economic situation in the country, its revenues continue to grow, its costs are continuously being reduced and the company is generating a surplus. The company has adjusted its technology to the requirements of the European Union and is certified to export its products to the European Community markets. It has, therefore, an opportunity to develop and compete in the European Community market. (original abstract)
